Abstract:Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly asked not only to write static interfaces, but to construct executable interactive worlds from natural language. Browser-native 3D, commonly built with Three.js, is a natural next frontier: generated programs must integrate assets, obey spatial and physical constraints, and keep user-facing controls synchronized with hidden runtime state. Existing web-generation benchmarks and evaluators, however, largely observe only pixels or DOM nodes, while the mechanics of a Three.js world unfold inside an opaque <canvas>. We introduce WorldCoder-Bench, a benchmark for autonomous, physically grounded 3D world synthesis. WorldCoder-Bench contains 2,026 expert-curated tasks across Simulation, Rendering, and Application scenarios, with optional .glb assets and hidden behavioral contracts. We further propose StateProbe, an execution-based protocol that probes generated programs in a sandboxed browser and verifies hidden, mutation-hardened contracts over runtime states and transitions. Beyond verification coverage, we report Return on Automation and Time Efficiency Multiplier to measure correctness-adjusted cost and time savings. Across nine frontier models, the best system reaches only 27.8% verification coverage on WorldCoder-Core and 19.9% on WorldCoder-Robust, with failures dominated by state-schema drift and broken interaction chains rather than missing scene elements. Utility metrics further show that cheap or fast models can still provide substantial value on easier domains. WorldCoder-Bench is available at https://anonymous.4open.science/r/WorldCoder-Bench/.
Abstract:AI-generated text increasingly blends with human writing, raising practical risks such as misinformation, academic misuse, and corpora contamination. While statistical detectors are appealing for efficiency and generalization, they suffer from two key limitations. (i) Boilerplate dominance, boilerplate tokens shared across human and LLM writing can overwhelm discriminative signals. (ii) Brittle point estimates, relying on a single probability score yields unstable decisions under adversarial manipulations. To address these issues, we propose Uncertainty, a multiscale uncertainty estimator that focuses on informative low-probability tokens, which more clearly expose distributional discrepancies. Locally, it alleviates boilerplate dominance by averaging the log-probabilities of low-probability tokens; globally, it reduces brittleness by capturing the distributional shape of this low-probability region via Rényi entropy. We further extend the detector to Uncertainty++ via conditional independent sampling, yielding a more stable uncertainty estimation. Experiments across seven datasets and sixteen LLMs demonstrate high effectiveness, generalization, and robustness. Our code is available at https://github.com/guoyikai2000/Uncertainty-AIGT.
Abstract:Task success can hide process anomalies in real-world agent executions. An agent may pass the final task oracle while still accumulating unresolved ambiguity, unsafe external writes, ignored errors, weakly grounded commitments, or capability-boundary overcommitment. We study this mismatch as the Outcome-Process Gap and introduce OpenClawBench, a large-scale dataset for measuring and supervising process-side anomalies in real agent execution processes. OpenClawBench is built from BFCL-driven OpenClaw sessions produced by 6 source models and contains 31,264 annotated trajectories. It aligns task-oracle outcomes with structured process evidence. FullTax converts the aligned trajectories into structured anomaly supervision: binary labels, supporting evidence, onset/span localization, severity, recoverability, and a 5-class anomaly taxonomy. Using OpenClawBench, we make the Outcome-Process Gap measurable. Among 31,135 oracle-passing executions, 2,904 are still labeled process-anomalous under FullTax. These results show that success-only evaluation misses a concrete class of process-side failures in real agent executions. A LoRA-fine-tuned Gemma 3 12B detector trained on the high-confidence FullTax supervised pool reaches binary F1=0.729 on the cleaner-labels held-out test split. Together, OpenClawBench turns real agent execution logs into auditable and reusable supervision for studying, diagnosing, and operationally monitoring runtime agent reliability.
Abstract:Knowledge graphs (KGs) have become the core backbone of numerous downstream tasks such as question answering and recommender systems. However, despite all this, KGs are often very incomplete. To perform zero-shot knowledge graph completion in unseen KGs, which have different relational vocabularies from those used for pre-training, KG foundation models (KGFMs) receive a wide range of attention. Existing KGFMs often perform training using random negative triples, which are constructed by replacing the head or tail entity of a positive triple with a random entity. However, these negative triples are often constructed with limited quality, providing weak supervision for KGFM training. In this paper, we propose a simple yet effective adaptive negative sampling approach, KMAS, to enhance existing KGFMs. KMAS constructs hard negative triples through the updated relation embeddings generated from the existing KGFM's relation encoder. To further adaptively align with the evolving capability of the KGFM during the training process, KMAS adjusts the ratio of hard negative triples dynamically throughout the whole training process: after a warmup phrase, it increases the ratio linearly and then decreases linearly. Extensive experiments are conducted over 44 data sets. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed negative sampling method can enhance many SOTA KGFMs without requiring excessive additional time or memory consumption.
Abstract:Generative sequence models have shown strong results in recommendation. Applying them to search ranking is more challenging. Search behavior is inherently query-driven. Each query switch introduces a sharp topic shift in the user's interaction history. Existing generative methods flatten queries and items into a single token sequence. They do not distinguish query boundaries. This causes the model to mix different query intents into one prediction target, resulting in noisy supervision. We present Query-Conditioned Generative Search (QGS). QGS encodes each interaction as a (query, item) pair token. It trains with a query-conditioned next-item objective. The prediction target changes from a noisy marginal P(item_{t+1}|context_{<=t}) to a clean conditional P(item_{t+1}|context_{<=t}, query_{t+1}). This directly removes the semantic discontinuity caused by query switches. Encoding long interaction histories with standard attention has quadratic cost. This is impractical under strict online latency budgets. We introduce a Linear HSTU encoder. It replaces full attention with causal linear recurrence. Per-layer complexity drops from O(L^2) to O(L) with no loss in ranking quality. Traditional search ranking depends on hand-crafted features like text-matching scores, statistical signals, and behavioral features. We propose HFG-Attention to preserve them in the generative framework. It organizes heterogeneous features into semantic groups and fuses them through a dedicated attention block. This bridges sparse engineered signals with dense sequential representations. QGS is deployed in the ranking module of Quark Search, a major commercial search engine in China. Online A/B tests show statistically significant gains: +0.62% CTR, +0.38% Click-Search Ratio, and +3.55% PV Duration over the production deep learning baseline.
Abstract:Reinforcement learning offers a promising approach for scan-order optimisation in laser additive manufacturing, where sequential scan decisions critically influence thermal accumulation, residual stress, distortion, and final part quality. A central challenge in applying RL to this domain lies in reward and world-model fidelity: full finite-element analysis is computationally prohibitive for dense in-the-loop evaluation, while cheap thermo-inspired proxy metrics, though efficient, may capture only partial aspects of the true thermo-mechanical objectives. This paper investigates a bilevel Proxy--FEA diagnostic framework for reward and world-model diagnosis in reinforcement-learning-guided scan-order optimisation. The lower level employs lightweight scan-path and thermo-inspired proxies for rapid candidate generation and preliminary policy-side screening, while the upper level utilises sparse Abaqus FEA simulations to provide simulation-based reference labels. The framework is examined on a simplified whole-track heating LDED32 stripe benchmark comprising ten representative scan strategies. Final-cooling residual Mises stress, U3 vertical distortion, and PEEQ plasticity metrics reveal an observed stress--distortion trade-off rather than a single monotonic quality objective. Within the evaluated set, the center_out strategy emerges as a robust compromise candidate, while raster_left_to_right and edge_in form opposing endpoints of the trade-off. Proxy--FEA alignment analysis shows that current cheap path-based metrics predominantly capture distortion-related (U3) behaviour and exhibit only weak correlation with the sparse FEA reference labels. These findings highlight that proxy-only reward designs risk misalignment in future RL training and underscore the value of sparse FEA reference signals for diagnostic-guided reward and world-model refinement prior to large-scale policy optimisation.
Abstract:VLM-based OCR models have become the de facto choice for document parsing, as they can accurately extract page-level elements (e.g., paragraphs within individual pages) together with their bounding boxes and textual content. However, downstream applications such as RAG require coherent document-level information, whereas these models often break cross-page continuity and fail to recover disrupted structures, such as paragraphs and tables truncated by page boundaries. Such relationships are not confined to a single page; instead, they require joint analysis of titles, paragraphs, tables, and images spanning multiple pages. A natural solution is therefore to reuse existing OCR outputs and reconstruct document-level logical structures through post-processing. To this end, we propose MinerU-Popo, a lightweight and universal framework for POst-Processing OCR outputs, which converts page-level results from diverse parsers into coherent document-level structures. MinerU-Popo decomposes the problem into four focused subtasks: text truncation recovery, table truncation recovery, title hierarchy reconstruction, and image-text association. To address these effectively, we build a task-oriented data engine with task-specific input filtering, and use the generated data (30K) to fine-tune a lightweight post-processing model (Qwen3-VL-4B). To support long documents, we introduce dynamic chunking with overlap-based synchronization, which aligns chunk-level outputs from the fine-tuned model and preserves global consistency. Finally, we assemble the aligned outputs into a tree-structured document representation, further enriched with node chunking and summaries for downstream retrieval and analysis. Empirical results show MinerU-Popo improves title-hierarchy TEDS by at least 20% across all five tested OCR models, improves RAG accuracy and reduces per-query latency.
Abstract:Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have significantly advanced document understanding, yet current Doc-VQA evaluations score only the final answer and leave the supporting evidence unchecked. This answer-only approach masks a critical failure mode: a model can land on the correct answer while grounding it in the wrong passage -- a critical risk in high-stakes domains like law, finance, and medicine, where every conclusion must be traceable to a specific source region. To address this, we introduce CiteVQA, a benchmark that requires models to return element-level bounding-box citations alongside each answer, evaluating both jointly. CiteVQA comprises 1,897 questions across 711 PDFs spanning seven domains and two languages, averaging 40.6 pages per document. To ensure fidelity and scalability, the ground-truth citations are generated by an automated pipeline-which identifies crucial evidence via masking ablation-and are subsequently validated through expert review. At the core of our evaluation is Strict Attributed Accuracy (SAA), which credits a prediction only when the answer and the cited region are both correct. Auditing 20 MLLMs reveals a pervasive Attribution Hallucination: models frequently produce the right answer while citing the wrong region. The strongest system (Gemini-3.1-Pro-Preview) achieves an SAA of only 76.0, and the strongest open-source MLLM reaches just 22.5. Ultimately, towards trustworthy document intelligence, CiteVQA exposes a reliability gap that answer-only evaluations overlook, providing the instrumentation needed to close it. Abstract:Recent knowledge graph (KG)-enhanced large language models (LLMs) move beyond purely textual knowledge augmentation by encoding retrieved subgraphs into continuous soft prompts via graph neural networks, introducing a graph-conditioned channel that operates alongside the standard text interface. However, existing backdoor attacks are largely designed for the textual channel, and their effectiveness against this dual-channel architecture remains unclear. We show that this architecture creates a robustness gap: text-channel backdoor attacks that readily compromise textual KG prompting systems become largely ineffective against soft-prompt-based counterparts. We interpret this gap through semantic anchoring, whereby graph-derived soft prompts bias the generation-driving hidden state toward query-consistent semantics and suppress surface-level malicious instructions. Because this anchoring effect is itself induced by the graph channel, an attacker who manipulates graph-level representations can in turn redirect it toward adversarial semantics. To demonstrate this risk, we propose BadSKP, a backdoor attack that targets the graph-to-prompt interface through a multi-stage optimization strategy: it constructs adversarial target embeddings, optimizes poisoned node embeddings to steer the induced soft prompt, and approximates the optimized representations with fluent adversarial node attributes. Experiments on two soft-prompt KG-enhanced LLMs across four datasets show that BadSKP achieves high attack success under both frozen and trojaned settings, while text-only attacks remain unreliable even under perplexity-based defenses.
Abstract:Short-term air traffic flow prediction in terminal airspace is essential for proactive air traffic management. Existing approaches predominantly model traffic flow as aggregated time series, despite traffic dynamics being governed by aircraft states and interactions in continuous airspace. Such aggregation obscures fine-grained information including aircraft kinematics, boundary interactions, and control intent. Here we present AeroSense, a state-to-flow modeling framework that predicts future traffic flow directly from instantaneous airspace situations represented as dynamic sets of aircraft states derived from ADS-B trajectories. By establishing an end-to-end mapping from microscopic aircraft states to future regional traffic flow, AeroSense preserves aircraft-level dynamics while naturally accommodating varying traffic density without relying on historical look-back windows. Experiments on a large-scale real-world dataset show that AeroSense consistently improves predictive accuracy over aggregation-based forecasting approaches, particularly during high-density traffic periods. These findings suggest that instantaneous airspace situations provide an effective alternative to conventional time-series-based traffic forecasting paradigms.
